Kishni is a beautiful village in shukul bazar block in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh. The village is located near gomti river which gives the village attraction. A small river called ghagra in local language is also increasing village beauty which latters meets in gomti river. It is located 64 KM away from head quarters Sultanpur and almost 90 km away from the capital of the state Lucknow. Kishni is surrounded by Jagdishpur Block towards South , Mawai Block towards North , Amaniganj Block towards East , Singhpur Block towards west . The pincode of the village is 227811.
The local language is Awadhi. According to the census of 2011 the total population of the village is 6032 and number of houses is 1003. Village literacy rate is 38% which must have increased in last 10 years. In Village there are 2-3 schools and 1 bank named as Indian Bank. The village is muslim dominated but both the hindus and muslims live together with brotherhood. The village has both mosque and temple. At present Md Shoaib is the pardhan of the village who is also a very good person and stand for the welfare of the village.
When you enter the village , you will first see the kishni market called chauraha or katra in local language where every daily basis things are available such as general store, medical store, bank, atm, mill, doctors clinic, fast food corners, mobile repairing centres, saloons, vegetables store and many more things. After that there are 4-5 ways which leads to the different mohallas of the village.In village there are total 13 mosque. There are 3-4 small cricket grounds in the village and cricket is the most played outdoor game followed by gilli danda, volleyball and other games into he village.
Where to visit in village?
As earlier mentioned, there is one river and one ghagra in village. These are a must visit in early morning or during the sunset. You can also visit to Badi Masjid to have prayer which is very beautiful. A choti mosques( called Dada miyan wali Masjid) in the village is located on the nearside of river from where you can have a beautiful river view. A special vegetables market is held every Tuesday and Saturday in nearly outside of village which is also a must visit. The market is full of chaos in the evening. Every villager must have visited the market once in life. There is also an old bridge where locals visit in evening. There are several mazar in village.

How to reach Kishni Village?
The nearest railway station is Nihalgarh where almost all trains has a stoppage if the train passes from this railway station. From there, you have to take private vans available outside the railway station which takes about nearly 1 hour to reach the village. You can also reach village from Rudauli Railway Station. You can reach through personal bike. Now the ola and ubers are not available but hopefully in the future they must be available.
