After the publishment of result of UPSC 2020 ,
Two days ago it was declaired on Jamaia Millia Islamia’s twitter handle that this time 23 students taking coaching from RCA of JMI has cleared the civil services exams after passing the prelims following that the mains in January and the personality tests which were taken in Auguat and September ,a post of the TIMES CITY was retwitted by JMI in which this data was revealed where aspirants Mamta Yadav getting 5th position was mainly highlighted. This was her 2nd attempt.
Some more candidates mentioned were Faizan Ahmed securing rank 58 ,Shahid Ahmed,Shreya Singhal and Shahansha KS on 129 ,176, and 142 respectively. Radika Gupta got rank 18 who took the training for the personality test from this academy .
Most student reviewed that this place provided them an environment for constant focus and not only guided them what to do but also what to avoid, the unneccesities as there are interactions with many student preparing at diffirent levels and with diffirent strategies.

The vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar was very much overwhelmed and congratulated the selections, encouraged and appreciated the hard work of the students the teachers and staff members of RCI.

ABOUT JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA RESIDENTIAL COACHING ACADEMY

JMI-RCA based in Delhi funded by UGC provides free coaching to underprivileged students.Along with coaching the expenses of accomodation and hostle are also covered.
Students are only eligible to apply if they :-
>Have a graduate degree with obtained marksheet.
>Belong to SC,ST, women and minorities.
Now the valid applicants fulfilling tge above meny criteria will be only able for attaining coaching after qualifying the the entrance (preliminary-cum-main) exam followed by interviews conducted by JMI at certain intervals as per vacancy.
Syllabus : written test consists of General Studies on UPSC model and Essay writting in English/Urdu/Hindi.
Basically the papaer will be divided into two parts.
Part 1 :- Consisting of objective type 60 questions and total marks would be (60*1 = 60)
Part 2 :- Candidates will face essay writing, here they will have to attempt two essays each from section A and B total marks would be (30*2 = 60).
Total time allotted for both the papers would be 3 hours .
The centres alloted are;- Delhi, Srinagar, Lucknow, Guwahati, Bengaluru, and Malappuram (Kerala) prefered by the appplicant.
